Conference Proceeding: Electrical quantification of low concentrations of specific protein in complex biological solutions
[show abstract] [hide abstract]
ABSTRACT: A sensitive immunosensor based on charge detection is developed for proteins. Its aim is to select and quantify low protein concentrations in a complex environment. This highly sensitive sensor is a SGFET (Suspended Gate Field Effect Transistor) whose gate is suspended at 500 nm high above the silicon channel and embedded in silicon nitride. This electrical insulation and the general design of the sensor allow to graft biomolecules and to experiment in liquids and particularly in complex biological solutions. To prove its efficiency, a blood plasma protein is used as an example : the transferrin. Specific antibodies are covalently immobilized under the gate by a new highly reproducible chemical functionalization. SGFET is duplicated in a 3x3 matrix that permits to produce statistical results and to increase reliability. Moreover, our device can detect and quantify a specific protein, here transferrin with 10 to 100 more sensitivity than current clinical tests in a complex solution.Sensors, 2008 IEEE; 11/2008 -
Conference Proceeding: Low Concentrated DNA Detection by SGFET
[show abstract] [hide abstract]
ABSTRACT: In this work a device based on oligonucleotide hybridization charged detection is presented. This biosensor is a SGFET (suspend gate field effect transistor), it is based on a MOSFET (metal oxide semiconductor field effect transistor) structure whose gate is suspended. The insulating layer (empty gap) is chemically modified by immobilized molecular receptors that enable miniaturized label free DNA detection. This method allows direct, time-resolved and in situ detection of specific nucleic acid binding. By the use of SGFET, the immobilization of DNA sequences brings negatives charges due to their phosphate groups under the gate and induce large shift of transfer characteristic. One of the applications of this device can be clinical testing.Solid-State Sensors, Actuators and Microsystems Conference, 2007. TRANSDUCERS 2007. International; 07/2007 -

Conference Proceeding: Transferrin Electronic Detector for Iron Disease Diagnostics
[show abstract] [hide abstract]
ABSTRACT: Field effect transistor (FET) structure with suspended bridge shows the ability to detect proteins with very high sensitivity. This sensor is tested for the transferrin, a specific blood plasma protein, relevant in iron disease diagnostic. This system is based on field effect transistor with a suspended bridge used as a gate electrode. The sensitive layer is made of silicon nitride as in the ISFET (ion sensitive field effect transistor) technology. The surface micro-technology ensures a small height suspended-bridge (0.5 mum) composed of poly-silicon insulated with silicon nitride. To improve sensitivity and to limit biofouling, proteins are selected by antibodies covalently bound to organic layers. The specific charge of the fixed transferrins translates the transistor transfer characteristics. For low concentration, resulting shift is important and confers a good sensitivity to our electronic transducer.Sensors, 2006. 5th IEEE Conference on; 11/2006 -
Article: On the role of exciton‐phonon interaction in the interpretation of the relative intensities in the Raman lattice spectrum of crystalline p‐chloroaniline
[show abstract] [hide abstract]
ABSTRACT: The relative intensities of bands in a polarized Raman Lattice spectrum of p-chloroaniline are interpreted in terms of the oriented gas model. Among different reasons for deviations from this model the vibronic intensity enhancement of B1g and B3g lattice bands has been found to be the most important one.Journal of Raman Spectroscopy 04/2005; 11(6):449 - 453. · 3.09 Impact Factor -
Article: Polarized Raman and IR spectra of lattice vibrations in the non‐centrosymmetric m‐aminophenol crystal
[show abstract] [hide abstract]
ABSTRACT: Polarized Raman and IR spectra of lattice vibrations (10–260 cm−1) in the m-aminophenol crystal have been recorded at various temperatures in the range 20–300 K. LO–TO splittings of about 2 cm−1 have been observed for two modes of A1 symmetry. Lattice dynamic calculations of frequencies and calculations of Raman intensities based on the generalized oriented gas model have been performed. A discussion of the influence of hydrogen bonding on the lattice dynamics is presented.Journal of Raman Spectroscopy 04/2005; 18(8):569 - 575. · 3.09 Impact Factor -
