ABSTRACT: The authors present their approach in face reconstruction after carcinological demolition. CASE REPORT: A 40-years-old patient presented an epidermoid carcinoma starting at the level of the right jawbone, few differentiated, massively destroying the roof of the maxillary sinus with subcutaneous and cutaneous infiltration in front and extension to the orbit. A broad right hemifacial right amputation was decided with ocular exenteration, cutaneo-palpebral sacrifice, parotidectomy with conservation of the facial nerve and standard cervical neck. After study and 3D simulation the reconstruction was carried out by an osteocutaneous parascapular flap using the external columna of the scapula for the repair of the lower orbital edge in order to accomodate an epithesis. CONCLUSION: We think that the planning step and preoperative three-dimensional measurement is of primary importance. It defines the size and type of flap to be taken in order to rebuild as well as possible the face while respecting the aesthetic units.

ABSTRACT: Clinodactyly is a symptom defined as an excessive angulation of a finger in the radio ulnar plane. The authors present the various etiologic patterns of clinodactyly, including delta phalanx and Kirner's deformity. Surgical techniques, indications and ideal timing for surgery are detailed.

ABSTRACT: The distal avulsion of the flexor profundus tendon of annular finger is so characteristic of Rugby that it even took the name of "rubgy finger". The forecast depends on an early diagnosis, which must lead to a surgical repair in emergency in a specialized hand center. The level of tendinous retraction and the association of an osseous avulsion or fracture determine the different types answering for each one of them a specific procedure. If the initial diagnosis was not accurate, only a palliative surgery could be proposed then leaving heavy after-effects not without consequences for a high-level sport practice.

ABSTRACT: Anterior dislocations of the second and third carpometacarpal joints are extremely rare. The authors report a case of an anterior dislocation of the bases of the second and third metacarpals of the right hand treated by closed reduction and percutaneous wiring. The result was excellent and the authors think that this type of carpometacarpal dislocation does not need open reduction.

ABSTRACT: Infantile cutaneous hemangioma is a benign vascular tumour present at 10% of the infants. It forms part of the group of the vascular tumours in the classification of International Society for Vascular Anomalies (ISSVA). Clinical diagnosis is easy in its triphasic typical form with a phase of sometimes brutal postnatal growth, a phase of stabilization and a phase of slow secondary regression. Classically, it is presented in the form of a mass or stains cutaneous red, of a subcutaneous mass or, generally, of a mixed form associating the two aspects.

ABSTRACT: Hemangioma (HMG) is a benign tumour of the child generally evolving to spontaneous regression. Sometimes this evolution can become complicated in a more or less serious way according to its localization or of its importance. If local complications are, in the most of cases, without gravity, complications of a general nature like thrombopenia or cardiac failure may compromise the vital prognosis. There are in addition serious forms where, according to its localization or its importance, the HMG can compromise the aesthetic, or functional even vital outcome.

ABSTRACT: Phyllode tumors of the breast are fibroepithelial tumors similar to fibroadenomas but with a predominant conjunctive tissue component. They are rare with an incidence of less than 1% of all breast neoplasms. They can be divided in three categories: benign, borderline, malignant. The Authors report the case of a 53 years old woman who presented an exceptional 6.5 kg phylloid tumor of the left mamma. The diagnostic strategies, the surgical total mastectomy procedure with anterior thoracic parietectomy and the surgical reconstructive treatment are described.
