Article: 鉄道沿線地区における通勤交通手段に関する一考察-広島都市圏JR山陽本線のパーク&ライドを事例として-

ABSTRACT: This study deals with the park and ride system of transportation for commuters along a railway line. In particular, JR Sanyo line in Hiroshima Urban Area was chosen in order to achieve the object of this study. The each of generalized costs of a railway, private cars and park and ride was calculated and evaluated. The obtained major results are mentioned as follows: (1) The generalized costs of park and ride are about 80 to 90 percent of private cars'. This range is due to parking fee at a starting station. (2) The generalized cost of park and ride is presented the first equation composed on gas price and parking fee. (3) When the situation of economy is steady, transportation demand of a private car is inclined to increase.http://harp.lib.hiroshima-u.ac.jp/handle/harp/688. -
Article: 交通費用からみた福祉交通政策の価値計測に関する考察

ABSTRACT: This paper presents an application of the travel cost method to estimate the value of a hypothetical welfare transport policy with some improvements in quality of life for the elderly in mountainous area. Particular attention is paid to the estimation of vale of a community bus system. The obtained main results are as follows: Firstly the introduction of community bus system is highly evaluated as a valuable welfare transport policy by residents. Secondly, but the travel cost method tends to overestimate that value.Finally some futures problems are made clear. -
Article: 島しょ部住民の生活環境評価に関する調査研究

ABSTRACT: About 40 years ago, the project connected among five main Akinada Islands with eight bridges was planned. The seventh bridge was opened on 18th December 2008. We could have a chance of a survey on island resident's consciousness about effects of bridge construction on their lives in islands. Therefore, this paper investigates life environments and traffic behaviors before opening of a bridge. Obtained main results are summarized as follows: (1) Average travel time in island is 15 minutes per one trip, shorter than in urban area. (2) The number of trips in island is 3.7 in a week and out of island is 1.22. (3) Island residents are afraid of negative effects of bridge construction. -

ABSTRACT: This paper explores the art of urban transportation policies in Germany,especially streetcars. Therefore,the questionnaire survey on urban transportation policies was conducted on one hundred forty four cities in Germany,which have a population of more than fifty thousands. Replies were gotten from ninety cities. The obtained main results are as follows: Cities,of which population are ten to fifty thousands,recognize importance of streetcars as urban transportation. However,although finances of almost streetcars go into the red,almost municipals financially support them. -
Article: 都市河川景観計画に基づいて整備された景観の評価法に関する一考察

ABSTRACT: This study deals with the methodology to evaluate an improved landscape of public space based on a landscape planning and design. We have some evaluation methods,but the public space is a place,where unspecified individuals travel,it is important for them to be satisfied. with a landscape In this study an urban riverscape in Hiroshima City is investigated as a case study. In order to make clear the evaluation and image structure of riverscape,Semantic Differential Method is adopted. The psychometric experiment was made on seventy three subjects and fifteen pieces of photographs of riverscape. Those photographs were taken in the direction of upper and lower stream on river revetment. The obtained main results are as follows. Semantic Differential Method is useful to understand how a landscape planning is realized and how a citizen assesses an improved landscape. And we could make clear landscape elements to compose image of riverscape. -
Article: 中山間地における高齢者福祉政策の金銭評価に関する一考察

ABSTRACT: This study deals with an effect of a transportation policy and a welfare policy through a telecommunication network for a senior citizen. Questionnaire investigation was conducted for 240 households in Jinseki-Kogen Cho,Hiroshima Pref., and we aimed at obtaining a fundamental knowledge about monetary estimation of the welfare and transportation policies for senior citizens In particular,the tele-home-care system (already introduced in Jinseki-Kogen Cho),the virtual telemedicine system combined picturephone through internet and virtual community bus were investigated. The major obtained results are described as follow as: From the viewpoint of cost performance,a tele-home-care system is the most desirable policy,next is community bus. Community bus introduction can surface by potentiality traffic demand. The cost performance of a picturephone system introduction is inferior to other two policies. -

ABSTRACT: The purpose of this paper is to analyze design philosophy of recent products for river revetment and to supply valuable data to river planners and designers. Therefore,we referred to the homepage of manufacturing industry of concrete by internet and got 33 pamphlets,which explain products for river revetment. Explanation sentences in pamphlets were divided some words by KJ Method and those words were analyzed by Quantification Theory Third. The obtained results are described below. Products are classified into some groups such as revetments concerning with landscape,accessibility to water,water quality,ecology and so on. And we could make clear the design philosophy. -

ABSTRACT: In this study,we discuss the necessity and the methodology of the benefit measurement of a social welfare policy and plan for old people through telecommunication network in mountainous area. Firstly,we conduct an interview survey with the administrative person in charge of welfare policy through telecommunication network. Secondly,we ask residents a monetary evaluation of introduction of that policy. Finally,the results of the questionnaire are analyzed by contingent valuation method. Obtained major learning are as follows. It is important to measure the benefit of social welfare policy in mountainous area,the estimated values of that policy by CVM are low and factors influencing willingness to pay are income,knowledge of the policy and age. -

ABSTRACT: Aged persons (over 65 years old) account for 16 percent of the population in Japan. The ratio will increase in near future. Kimita village is a village with one of the highest percentages of aged persons (34.7%) in Hiroshima Prefecture. The advanced system of information is intervened to enhance their aged life from the viewpoint of ergonomics welfare. In this research,we reviewe studies on social welfare administration for aged persons and understand the problems. And we discuss about the regional planning of depopulated areas,especially the information maintenance of welfare. The main purpose of this research is to investigate the usability of a computer for aged persons and the evaluation of information contents in Kimita village. As the main result of this study,we could understand that aged persons can not easily use a present computer and information-oriented society improves their quality of life in mountainous area. -

ABSTRACT: Some of local administrations in mountainous areas become tried to send for older people the information concerning the social welfare and other administration through a computer network. In order to accomplish those trials,older people are required the ability to operate a computer. Therefore,the objectives of this study is to discuss on the support for older people using a computer,the actual conditions of their operating performance and the problem when using it through analysis on their computer literacy in mountainous areas. We could find out the methods for guidance to operate a computer to them,temporal change of their attitude of a computer,desirable information contents for them and so on. -

ABSTRACT: We are interested in improving efficiency of plants for desalination of seawater by reverse osmosis process,and intend to confirm the relation between pre-filtration of polluted seawater and efficiency of plants by experiments. In particular red tide was examined. As a result of this study,we could find out that the pre-filtration combined ozone filtration with sand filtration will be useful and very economical. -

ABSTRACT: In recent years there has been a remarkable growth of interest in the town building considering barrier free. However,there seems to be the gap between administrative understanding of the welfare and handicapped person's expectations for the town building. Therefore,the public space should be constructed based on universal design. It means gentle design to all people. The main purpose of this work is to consider what important role the ordinances play in the town building considering the welfare. Accordingly,we made a survey of the ordinance for town building considering the welfare of local governments and made clear the enactment of the ordinance and its details. As a result of this analysis, the problems of the ordinance for town building were made clear. -

ABSTRACT: The purpose of this study is to analyse the relationship between a driver's cognition of changes in traffic circumstances and his driving maneuver and to understand the driving maneuver. Therefore,the basic experiment using tow cars and the experiment which a subject drives a car in real traffic flow were conducted. And in both experiments subjects were asked about cognition of a visual information on traffic flow. And moreover the methods of those experiments were discussed. The obtained knowledge are summarized as follow. Firstly the vehicular gap under car following is different between before and after acceleration of a car running ahead. Secondly the vehicular gap is influenced with a driver's cognition of visual information. -

ABSTRACT: Driving maneuvers in car following are affected by not only road structure and traffic characteristics,but also drivers' cognition to visual information. The purpose of this paper is to discuss the relation between drivers' cognition and driving maneuvers. In order to accomplish this purposes driving maneuvers are observed by a video recorder set up in a car and a driver is interviewed about the degree of his recognized velocity and traffic density on road. The obtained new knowledge is summarized as follow. Driving maneuver is affected by road and traffic characteristics under congested traffic condition,but under free flow condition driving maneuver is affected by drivers' cognition to visual information such as velocity and traffic density. -

ABSTRACT: In mountainous area the prevention of depopulation has been one of the major problems to municipalities. The industrial estates have been planned as the useful and soluble methods of that problems by municipalities. But we can find out many examples of a failure. Therefore,this study investigated the history of industrial estate policy and its post evaluation. Firstly the depth interview survey was held with four municipalities in mountains area and urban area. Secondly the effects of the industrial estates on population and income were analyzed. -

ABSTRACT: Many local governments have developed industrial estates in order to liven up local economy. Many studies have dealt with the economical effects of industrial policies on local communities,and the problems of those policies have been made clear. But we can't find out many studies on the post evaluations based on daily activities of the enterprises which move into the new industrial estates. The objective of this paper is to examine post evaluation of industrial policies based on questionnaire surveys. The survey was made at four industrial estates in Hiroshima Central Technopolis Region. As results of this study,many problems,such as employment,transportation network and collection of technical information and so on were presented. -
