ABSTRACT: In the sub-millimeter wave propagation process, attenuation is mainly due to the effects of atmospheric particles, such as
water vapor. It’s also caused by absorption and scattering by hydrometeors. This paper focuses on the effects of hydrometeors
on sub-millimeter wave propagation. The formula for calculating the attenuation cross-section of raindrops is given, as well
as the distance formula of sub-millimeter wave radiometers. Finally, this paper mentions the effects of some weather phenomena
on detection distance of sub-millimeter wave radiometers. Taking cloud attenuation as an example, the relation between distance
and temperature or moisture content is analyzed.

ABSTRACT: This paper put forward the distance equation for the SMMW radiometer based on the one for the MMW radiometer. In general case, the transmission attenuation was ignored as the detection distance of the radiometer was studied, because of the faint attenuation in some frequency band. But in the SMMW band, the effects of atmospheric attenuation were very significant. So the attenuation coefficient had been introduced into the distance equation. Then the solution of the equation was proposed by using the Lambert W, which is a transcendental function. Finally the simulation and analysis of the solution were given respectively.

ABSTRACT: Based on the analysis of the passive millimeter wave (MMW) radiometer detection, the ground target radiation cross section
is modeled as the new token for the target MMW radiant characteristics. Its application and actual testing are discussed and
analyzed. The essence of passive MMW stealth is target radiation cross section reduction.

ABSTRACT: Under actual threat of passive millimetre-wave (MMW) detection and guidance, to enhance survivability of ground target in future battlefield, MMW passive stealth technology research is conducted. Its necessity is analyzed and certified, and MMW passive detection distance is analyzed on the base of target radiation characteristic testing principle. The main direction for MMW passive stealth, the shape and the materials behavior control, are pointed out and the actual control methods are analyzed

ABSTRACT: In this paper, a compact Ka-band microstrip integrated local-oscillator-mixer assembly used in projectile sensors is introduced. The overall configuration of microstrip circuit of this assembly is given. The functions of each component are described. The environment and reliability tests performed on this assembly were explored in detail, which include vibration, shock and temperature. The Ka-band local-oscillator-mixer assembly exhibits a 3.4-4.2 dB double side band (DSB) noise figure over a 2-GHz RF bandwidth. LO-to-RF isolation is greater than 27 dB over the range of operating frequencies. The frequency stability of the local oscillator with dielectric resonator used is less than 60 ppm/c0

ABSTRACT: The neural network model of a fin-line is established firstly and
is combined with transmission line theory to develop a new analysis
method of fin-line tapers in this paper. Since the simulation process of
the neural network model is very fast, the analysis method of fin-line
tapers developed is very effective and simple
