  The activity of Henryk Jordan (1842-1907) as a Member of Parliament focused on two problems: the functioning of the medical care system in Galitzia and problems of education. He wanted to improveThe activity of Henryk Jordan (1842-1907) as a Member of Parliament focused on two problems: the functioning of the medical care system in Galitzia and problems of education. He wanted to improve health of people living in Galitzia by making easier the access of doctors, introducing the sanitary legislation of 1891 and increasing the number of provincial and mental hospitals. As far as education is concerned he supported the policy of school authorities. Jordan considered all the problems from the point of view of national interest, the realisation of which was possible with the Austro-Hungarian Empire.
