Article: [Quality evaluation of seed of Scutellaria baicalensis from different habitats].

ABSTRACT: To study the seed quality of Scutellaria baicalensis Georgi. Collecting seeds from different habitats and studying the thousand-seeds weight, plumpness rate and germination percentage. The seeds from Ningxia and Juxian (Shandong province) are better than those from other habitats. Its plumpness rate is above 95%, thousand-seeds weight is 2.2 g and germination percentage is above 90%. There are obvious differences in quality of seeds of Scutellaria baicalensis from different habitats.Zhong yao cai = Zhongyaocai = Journal of Chinese medicinal materials 10/2002; 25(9):617-9.
