ABSTRACT: A new high precision measurement of the J/ψ- and ψ′-meson masses has been performed at the VEPP-4M collider using the KEDR detector. The resonant depolarization method has been employed for the absolute calibration of the beam energy. The following mass values have been obtained: The relative measurement accuracy has reached 4×10−6 for J/ψ and 7×10−6 for ψ′, approximately 3 times better than in the previous precise experiments.

ABSTRACT: The status of the experiment on the precise τ lepton mass measurement running at the VEPP-4M collider with the KEDR detector is reported. The mass value is evaluated from the τ+τ− cross section behaviour around the production threshold. The preliminary result based on 6.7 pb−1 of data is . Using 0.8 pb−1 of data collected at the ψ′ peak the preliminary result is also obtained: Γee⋅Bττ(ψ′)=7.2±2.1 eV.

ABSTRACT: New measurements of ψ(2S), ψ(3770) and D meson masses are presented. The results of the scans performed were used for determination of the products Γee×Γee/Γ for J/ψ and Γee×Γμμ/Γ for ψ(2S).

ABSTRACT: A Dalitz plot analysis of approximately 13 000 D_s^+ decays to π^+π^-π^+ has been performed. The analysis uses a 384 fb-1 data sample recorded by the BABAR detector at the PEP-II asymmetric-energy e^+e^- storage ring running at center of mass energies near 10.6 GeV. Amplitudes and phases of the intermediate resonances which contribute to this final state are measured. A high precision measurement of the ratio of branching fractions is performed: [script B](D_s^+-->π^+π^-π^+)/[script B](D_s^+-->K^+K^-π^+)=0.199±0.004±0.009. Using a model-independent partial wave analysis, the amplitude and phase of the [script S] wave have been measured.

ABSTRACT: We report a measurement of the branching fractions of D**- decays based on 417 fb-1 of data collected at the (4S) resonance with the BABAR detector at the PEP-II e+e- storage rings. Events are selected by fully reconstructing one of the B mesons in a hadronic decay mode. A fit to the invariant mass differences m(D(*))-m(D(*)) is performed to extract the signal yields of the different D** states. We observe the D**- decay modes corresponding to the four D** states predicted by heavy quark symmetry with a significance greater than 5 standard deviations including systematic uncertainties.

ABSTRACT: We report an analysis of τ^- decaying into ωπ^(-)ν_τ with ω → π^(+)π^(-)π^0 using a data sample containing nearly 320 × 10^6 pairs collected with the BABAR detector at the PEP-II B-Factory. We find no evidence for second-class currents, and we set an upper limit of 0.69% at 90% confidence level for the fraction of second-class currents in this decay mode.

ABSTRACT: The products of the electron width of the J/ψ meson and the branching fraction of its decays to the lepton pairs were measured using data from the KEDR experiment at the VEPP-4M electron–positron collider. The results areΓee×Γee/Γ=0.3323±0.0064(stat.)±0.0048(syst.) keV,Γee×Γμμ/Γ=0.3318±0.0052(stat.)±0.0063(syst.) keV. Their combinationsΓee×(Γee+Γμμ)/Γ=0.6641±0.0082(stat.)±0.0100(syst.) keV,Γee/Γμμ=1.002±0.021(stat.)±0.013(syst.) can be used to improve the accuracy of the leptonic and full widths and test leptonic universality.Assuming eμ universality and using the world average value of the lepton branching fraction, we also determine the leptonic Γℓℓ=5.59±0.12 keV and total Γ=94.1±2.7 keV widths of the J/ψ meson.
