  • Conference Proceeding: Bow-Tie Loop Printed Antenna with High Gain and Broad Beam Width for 5.8Ghz Rectenna Application
    [show abstract] [hide abstract]
ABSTRACT: Bow-Tie loop printed antenna with high gain and broad beam width for 5.8 GHz rectenna application is proposed, analyzed and measured. The high gain of 9.5 dBi can receive more power in a certain power density. And the broad beam width with 90 degrees HPBW (Half Power Beam Width) is able to avoid the precise main beam alignment. The proposed antenna still has the cross polarization level more than 30 dB, and the front-to-back ratio is about -20 dB in the broadside direction. The details of the simulated and experimental results for the proposed design are presented and discussed.

    [show abstract] [hide abstract]
ABSTRACT: In this paper, a novel UWB (ultra-wide bandwidth) antenna having a frequency band notch is presented. The ring-slot is used to change the current distribution and realize the frequency notch function. The measured return loss less than −10.0 dB is from 3.1 to 5.0 GHz and from 6.0 to 10.6 GHz, and the frequency notch band is from 5.15 to 5.825 GHz. The simulated gain changes between 2.0 and 6.5 dB within the pass band and varies between −1.5 and 1.0 dB within the band-notched part. © 2007 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
