ABSTRACT: Endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) and endoscopic sphincterotomy (ES) is the treatment of choice for common bile duct (CBD) stones. Complication rates of 5-15%, and mortality rates of 1.0% have been reported.
