Conference Proceeding: Hollow-core photonic crystal fibers: Advances and prospects
[show abstract] [hide abstract]
ABSTRACT: We report on recent progress in the conception and fabrication of hollow-core photonic crystal fibers. To illustrate their strong potential, experiments dedicated to the delivery and the manipulation of high-power ultrashort pulses are developed. Then, the limitations principally dictated by the nature of guidance of these fibers are highlighted and solutions proposed. Finally, recent works based on particular HC-PCF guiding broad optical transmission bands with relative low-loss are presented and their opportunities discussed.Transparent Optical Networks (ICTON), 2010 12th International Conference on; 08/2010 -
Article: Supercontinuum generation system for optical coherence tomography based on tapered photonic crystal fibre.
[show abstract] [hide abstract]
ABSTRACT: We report smooth and broad continuum generation using a compact femtosecond Ti:Sapphire laser as a pump source and a tapered photonic crystal fibre as a nonlinear element. Spectral output is optimized for use in optical coherence tomography, providing a maximum longitudinal resolution of 1.5 microm in free space at 809 nm centre wavelength without use of additional spectral filtering.Optics Express 03/2006; 14(4):1596-603. · 3.59 Impact Factor
