ABSTRACT: Open service gateway initiative (OSGi), a service-oriented component model which follows the concepts of service-oriented programming, significantly reduces the time and complexity to construct applications by registering and discovering services. However, this mechanism focusing on the interfaces and static properties of related services, ignores the behavior of the services, let alone the runtime errors caused by behavior inconsistency. In addition to the related theory of service behavior model and behavior consistency relation of single services in service discovery and substitution, this article defines coordination protocol, composite service and behavior consistent service coordination to handle the applications built on multiple services. On the top of OSGi, we propose a feasible middleware architecture called SOBECA, which includes a runtime environment and a development toolkit to facilitate the development of service behavior consistent applications.

ABSTRACT: A highly sensitive fiber-optic sensor based on optical beam deflection is applied for investigating the propagation of a laser-induced plasma shock wave, the oscillation of a cavitation bubble diameter, and the development of a bubble-collapse-induced shock wave when a Nd:YAG laser pulse is focused upon an aluminum surface in water. By the sequence of experimental waveforms detected at different distances, the attenuation properties of the plasma shock wave and of the bubble-collapse-induced shock wave are obtained. Besides, based on characteristic signals, both the maximum and the minimum bubble radii at each oscillation cycle are determined, as are the corresponding oscillating periods.

ABSTRACT: We present SRM-TFRC, an SRM based congestion control scheme for
reliable multicast. Based on the feedback mechanism of SRM, it achieves
the goal of TCP friendliness using rate-based regulation and taking the
approach of TFRC's idea. We propose the strategy of weighted average to
solve the issue of Drop-to-Zero, in which Worst Receiver Set is created
to keep track of current worst receivers and the sender's rate is
determined by the weighted average of the feedback value of these
receivers. SRM-TFRC is implemented on the NS network simulator and the
paper presents the simulation results on its performance

ABSTRACT: Domain-specific application frameworks have received considerable
attention from researchers and developers and will become one of the
future trends in object oriented framework research. Based on a deep
understanding and analysis of OO framework techniques, we study the
existing problems in oil and gas exploration applications, and propose a
specific framework for interactive seismic data processing application
software. Meanwhile, a set of design-pattern-oriented components are
introduced so that software extensibility and code reusability can be
considerably enhanced

ABSTRACT: Based on the analysis of the main representative communication
models for software agents, this paper proposes a new model and its
corresponding open agent communication framework. Such a framework not
only has a clear infrastructure, but also can support various types of
cooperation among software agents. Furthermore, the extensibility and
the reusability are emphasized in this framework

ABSTRACT: Parallel systems are usually based on various high-level parallel computing models. However, a traditional programming language is usually able to support only a single model. This paper proposes a method for using parallel frameworks to support various high-level parallel computing models within a single object-oriented language. An example is given to illustrate the main ideas of this method
