ABSTRACT An analytical method for the analysis of a novel antiasthmatic drug quinlukast and its metabolites in the plasma, bile and urine was developed. For the analysis, the solid phase extraction method and the C(8) RP-HPLC with radiometric detection of the drug were used. This method enables a quantitative determination of the agent and all of its metabolites (even of those with an unknown structure) in a biological system. The procedure is, therefore, suitable both for the pharmacokinetic analysis of quinlukast and the determination of its elimination pathways.
