Pengaruh Sanitasi Lingkungan, Personal Hygiene Dan Karakteristik Anak Terhadap Infeksi Kecacingan Pada Murid Sekolah Dasar Di Kecamatan Blang Mangat Kota Lhokseumawe

ABSTRACT 09E01727 Penyakit kecacingan masih merupakan masalah kesehatan masyarakat Indonesia, terutama di daerah pedesaan. Keadaan sanitasi lingkungan yang belum memadai, keadaan sosial ekonomi yang masih rendah didukung oleh iklim yang sesuai untuk pertumbuhan dan perkembangan cacing merupakan beberapa faktor penyebab tingginya prevalensi infeksi cacing. Penyakit kecacingan di Propinsi NAD khususnya Kecamatan Blang Mangat Kota Lhokseumawe masih merupakan masalah kesehatan masyarakat di mana tahun 2006 dijumpai pada 65 murid SD yang diperiksa 35 murid (53.8 %) di antaranya positif menderita penyakit kecacingan. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menganalisis pengaruh sanitasi lingkungan, personal hygiene dan karakteristik anak terhadap kejadian infeksi kecacingan pada murid SD di Kecamatan Blang Mangat Kota Lhokseumawe Propinsi NAD. Jenis penelitian ini adalah desain cross sectional. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah murid kelas V dan VI dari 3 (tiga) Sekolah Dasar Negeri sebanyak 240 orang, sampel berjumlah 150 orang, diambil secara proportional sampling. Data diperoleh dengan wawancara menggunakan kuesioner, dianalisis menggunakan regresi logistik berganda pada ?=0.05. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sanitasi lingkungan meliputi sanitasi rumah dan sekolah 50.7% tidak memenuhi syarat. Personal hygiene meliputi; kebersihan kuku (46.7%), penggunaan alas kaki (52.7%) dan kebiasaan cuci tangan (53.3%) kategori tidak baik. Karakteristik individu Anak meliputi; pengetahuan (36.0%), sikap (41.3%) buruk. Jenis kelamin (52,0%) perempuan dan penghasilan orangtua (60.0%) kategori rendah. Infeksi kecacingan positif (52.7%). Variabel yang memengaruhi terjadinya infeksi kecacingan adalah kebersihan kuku, pemakaian alas kaki, kebiasaan cuci tangan, jenis kelamin dan penghasilan orangtua. Disarankan kepada Pemerintah Kota Lhokseumawe dapat bekerjasama dengan Instansi swasta untuk memperbaiki sanitasi lingkungan di Kecamatan Blang Mangat. Kepada dinas kesehatan dan Puskesmas untuk meningkatkan promosi kesehatan khususnya pada kebersihan diri murid Sekolah Dasar. Petugas Usaha Kesehatan Sekolah (UKS) agar terus melakukan pembinaan kepada semua Sekolah Dasar terutama untuk ketiga sekolah lokasi penelitian. Helminthes is still one of the health problems, especially in rural areas in Indonesia. Inadequate environmental condition, low socio-economic condition, and appropriate climate for the growth and development of worm are several of the factors that cause the high prevalence of helminthes. Helminthes still becomes a health problem especially in Blang Mangat Sub-district, Lhokseumawe, the Province of Nanggroe Aceh Darrussalam. In 2006, 35 (53%) out of the 65 elementary school students examined were positively suffering from helminthes. The purpose of this cross-sectional study is to analyze the influence of environmental sanitation (home and school environment), personal hygiene (the cleanliness of fingger nails, wearing footwear, and the habit of washing hands), and Chlid characteristics (knowledge, attitude, sex, and parent's income) on the incident of in the helminthes in the elementary school students in Blang Mangat Sub-district, Lhokseumawe, the Province of Nanggroe Aceh Darrussalam. The population for this study were 240 elementary school students of grade V and grade VI from 3 Public Elementary school, and 150 of them were selected to be the samples for this study through proportional sampling technique. The data for this study were obtained through questionnaire-based interviews. The data obtained were analyzed through through multiple logistic regression test at ? = 0.05. The result of this study shows that environmental sanitation including home and school sanitation (50.7%) does not meet the requirement, personal hygene including the cleanliness of finger nails (46.7%), weaming footwears (52.7%), and the habit of washing hands (53%) belongs to poor category, and chlid characteristics including knowledge (36.0%), and attitude (41.3%) belongs to poor category, and Parents' income (60.0%) belong to low category. The helminthes rate (52.7%) is positive. The variables that influenced the incident of helminthes were home environmental sanitation, the cleanliness of fingger nails, wearing footwear, the habit of washing hands, sex, and the income of the parents of the elementary school students. It is suggested that the Government of Lhokseumawe could cooperate with the private agencies or institutions to improve basic sanitation in Blang Mangat sub-distrik. Lhokseumawe Distrik Health Office and Blang Mangat Health Center need to improve the health promotion especially the personal health of the elementary school students. The working staff of School Health Initiative (UKS) is suggested to keep developing of all of the elementary school especially the three elementary schools which are located in research location.
