ABSTRACT A photonic ADC system with 20 GHz bandwidth and 20 dB signal-to-noise ratio is demonstrated, using a broadband mode locked laser and dispersive fibre to form a continuous waveform with time-wavelength mapping, and an AWG to channelise.
