ABSTRACT We demonstrate efficient, high-performance format conversion from wavelength-hopping time-spreading (WHTS) optical CDMA to NRZ using a terahertz optical asymmetric demultiplexer (TOAD), with 1 dB power penalty. Schemes for interfacing WHTS and WDM networks are presented.
