ABSTRACT The importance of cooperative work in order to achieve meaningful learning in mathematic classes during the first two stages of Basic Education motivated doing a qualitative study, based on research-action. Following the suggested steps for this type of methodology, we performed a diagnose to then design and apply strategies based on cooperative work. During the evaluation we were able to see the importance of cooperative work in mathematic classes, aiming to promote motivation, interaction and meaningful learning. In the conclusions we point out as fundamental characteristics to design cooperative strategies: previous knowledge of the students, attention to the four areas of math (arithmetic, algebra, geometry and statistic), the interrelation with the other curricular areas and the incorporation of playful activities.

ABSTRACT: This study analyses the attitude of teachers from Chile (N = 92) and Costa Rica (N= 126) towards inclusive education. For that purpose, it establishes the following objectives: a. identify those measures facilitating inclusive education with both teachers groups; b. get to know the resources teacher count on to make inclusive education possible; and c. value the principles of inclusive education underlying their teaching practice. We adopted a quantitative approach through a descriptive design consisting of a survey. Results show that in general teachers of this study have a positive attitude towards the inclusion of different measures to attend the students Special Educative Needs. Resources and time continue to be perceived by teachers as restraining the development of inclusive practices.

ABSTRACT: One of the strategies of health promotion is to develop life skills people considering themselves as the main health resource. A workshop has to get its participants become «asset» to make decisions and create health, focusing on the development and acquisition of skills in a motivating group and in order to achieve health objectives. The concepts behind the design of a workshop are: participatory planning, training, meaningful learning, group learning and participatory techniques. The steps to follow to design a workshop and facilitate their application are: Stage 0, founding; initial stage, host and initial evaluation; central or construction stage based learning in the acquisition of knowledge, attitudes and skills, and final stage or evaluation.
