ABSTRACT Aminopeptidase from Streptomyces thermocyaneoviolaceus NBRC14271 was engineered into transaminopeptidase and used to catalyze an aminolysis reaction to give linear and cyclic dipeptides from cost-effective substrates such as the ester derivatives of amino acids.
