Al-Kawthar Sura : A Figurative study
The present paper is a figurative study of Al-Kouthar Sura according to the approach described and adopted by Ameen Al-Khouly in his book New Approaches to Grammer , Rhtorics , Interpretation , and Literature and summarized by Dr. Aisha Abdil-Rahman in her book The Figurative Interpretation of the Holy Quran.

1. The objective study of the Muslims’ book.
2. Adopting the principle of grading the “ ayat “ according to their chronological order of discension and the context of time and place surrounding it.
3. Considering the original linguistic sign in its various sensory and metaphorical uses them scrutinizing all the formulas of utterance in the Holy Quran with reference to their specific context of occurrence in the aya and Sura , as well as the overall context of the Holy Book.
4. In order to understand the secrets of expression one should resort to the context of the text and the different interpretors opinion choosing the most suitable approach.
Al-Kouthar Sura has been chosen in view its shortness which can provide the best chance applying the approach adopted in this study.
