ABSTRACT Paced epicardial electrograms from heart transplants were recorded
via implanted telemetric pacemakers. Signals were processed
automatically and extracted parameters from the ventricular evoked
response are compared to the degree of acute rejection according to
histological findings from endomyocardial biopsy. Statistical analysis
and an estimation of the diagnostic quality of this noninvasive method
for detection of acute cardiac rejection are presented
