ABSTRACT It is a tale about a street cat called Saara, who was adopted by the family of the author. The story relates how the cat adapted with the family and another pet in the family - the rabbit; how it raised and protected its offspring. The author describes the extremely varying relationships between the cat and the people who took care of it, ranging from great friendship with family members, especially children, to the “stinking” war of revenge declared to temporary tenants, with “accidents” in bed and on clothes, faeces in the house, and scratches on furniture.
