ABSTRACT A case of onychomadesis in one of twins with onset in the neonatal period is reported. We hypothesize that the nail deformities were induced by the stress of a breech presentation during preterm labor and that candidiasis limited to the bands of onychomadesis exaggerated the appearance of the nail deformity.
