Cyclone design for fluidized bed biomass gasifiers
The goal of this research was to develop design methodology for an optimum ash removal system for biomass gasifiers. A cyclone series system has been designed for a 61 cm diameter gasifier. Typical input variables and design calculations were presented. Test results from the operation of the TAMU 61 cm and 30.5 cm gasifier were used to validate predictions of gas flow rate and gas density.
