Physician attitudes: electronic medical records in ambulatory care.
ABSTRACT This is a survey study to evaluate physician opinions regarding the impact of implementing an electronic medical record (EMR) on basic functions of clinical care. Opinions were evaluated using a uniquely designed survey both prior to implementation of the EMR as well as afterward to see anticipated vs. actual impact of this change. Valuable information was gathered on transition and training. The subjects were primarily residents at an Internal Medicine/Pediatrics primary care clinic.
