Article: On the accuracy of a 3-D infinite element for open boundary electromagnetic field analysis
[show abstract] [hide abstract]
ABSTRACT: This paper describes an application of the three dimensional infinite element for modelling open boundary conditions in the finite element analysis of electromagnetic field problems. The infinite element has four nodes and is compatible with conventional cuboids. It is shown that the infinite element serves not only to obtain higher calculation precision in the interior—finite element region, but also gives very good results in the exterior region. Electrical Engineering 12/1993; 77(2):77-83. · 0.40 Impact Factor
