ABSTRACT We describe two common single-base polymorphisms of the N-acetylgalactosamine-6-sulfate sulfatase gene after StyI or StuI restriction sites. These polymorphisms were readily detected by single-strand conformation polymorphism (SSCP), using the polymerase chain reaction (PCR).
