ABSTRACT A measurement of charm and beauty dijet photoproduction cross sections at the ep collider HERA is presented. Events are selected
with two or more jets of transverse momentum pt
jet1(2)>11(8) GeV in the central range of pseudo-rapidity -0.9<ηjet1(2)<1.3. The fractions of events containing charm and beauty quarks are determined using a method based on the impact parameter,
in the transverse plane, of tracks to the primary vertex, as measured by the H1 central vertex detector. Differential dijet
cross sections for charm and beauty, and their relative contributions to the flavour inclusive dijet photoproduction cross
section, are measured as a function of the transverse momentum of the leading jet, the average pseudo-rapidity of the two
jets and the observable xγ
obs. Taking into account the theoretical uncertainties, the charm cross sections are consistent with a QCD calculation in next-to-leading
order, while the predicted cross sections for beauty production are somewhat lower than the measurement.

ABSTRACT: The status of beauty measurements at HERA is reviewed. A considerable improvement in the precision and kinematic coverage has been achieved in the last years. The results are in good agreement with NLO QCD.

ABSTRACT: Recent measurements on beauty production at HERA using the HI experiment are presented. The cross section for beauty dijets in photoproduction and the contribution of the inclusive beauty cross section in deep-inelastic scattering (DIS) are shown. The results are based on a method using the impact parameter, in the transverse plane, of tracks to the primary vertex, as measured by the HI vertex detector. The measurements are compared with the predictions of next-to-leading order (NLO) QCD.

ABSTRACT: The contributions ∝n to the O(alphas3) massive operator matrix elements describing the heavy flavor Wilson coefficients in the limit Q2≫m2 are computed for the structure function F(x,Q2) and transversity for general values of the Mellin variable N. Here, for two matrix elements, Aqq,QPS(N) and A(N), the complete result is obtained. A first independent computation of the contributions to the 3-loop anomalous dimensions gamma(N), gammaqqPS(N), and gammaqqNS,(TR)(N) is given. In the computation advanced summation technologies for nested sums over products of hypergeometric terms with harmonic sums have been used. For intermediary results generalized harmonic sums occur, while the final results can be expressed by nested harmonic sums only.
