ABSTRACT This paper presents a new current-mode multiphase sinusoidal oscillator employing current-controlled current differencing transconductance amplifiers (CCCDTAs). The proposed oscillator circuit, which employs one CCCDTA, one grounded capacitor and one grounded resistor for each phase, can generate arbitrary n output current equal-amplitude signals that are equally spaced in phase (n being even or odd), all at high output impedance terminals. The frequency of oscillation and the condition of oscillation can be controlled electronically and independently through adjusting the bias current of the CCCDTA. The proposed oscillator is highly suitable for integrated circuit implementation. The theoretical results were verified by PSPICE simulation.
