ABSTRACT The name of our Society is “Circuits and Systems”. For most of our members, “circuit” needs no explanation. However, the question of what a “system” is requires some further consideration. At random, I asked several individuals and received somewhat different albeit similar answers—a few even used the word “network” to describe “system”.
