Article: Complete Genome Sequence of a Novel Recombinant Human Norovirus Genogroup II Genotype 4 Strain Associated with an Epidemic during Summer of 2012 in Hong Kong.
[show abstract] [hide abstract]
ABSTRACT: Beginning in July 2012, a community-wide increase in the number of norovirus-associated acute gastroenteritis cases was observed during the summer months in Hong Kong. Here, we report the complete genome sequence of a novel recombinant norovirus genogroup II genotype 4 (GII.4) strain, named "2012v," which is associated with this "early" epidemic outside the usual winter season.Genome announcements. 01/2013; 1(1).
