ABSTRACT Obtaining a complete history and performing a physical examination are key steps in any clinical assessment. In addition, being familiar with common clinical signs helps in the formulation of a differential diagnosis. Once a definitive diagnosis is made, it is important to follow up each case with client education as well as the development of preventive medicine programs for avian patients.
