  I have used them, Though they give quite accurate temp. but the problem is they will give you the temp of Cylinder and not flame. And it will be quite less than the actual temp developed during the flaming .....

  If the engine is already constructed , it`s difficult else you can leave a plugged hole known as indicator cock it will give you the round about value... [more]
