[more] Depression is a mental disorder which causes great damage, and having a qualified knowledge about this pathology allows the establishment of more effective coping strategies. Accordingly, a scientific production of quality is the starting point for an appropriate approach in treatment. The purpose of this article was to review the literature about depression in Brazilian journals evaluated by the CAPES’s QUALIS system. The method consisted in survey on-line psychology journals with search engine evaluated by QUALIS in 2010, and so filter articles with the key-word “depressão" (depression). Through these criteria, 665 articles found in 222 journals were selected. The results show that most articles about depression are written in Portuguese, have a biological approach, they are studies of survey/correlation and do not explicitly present the theory behind the analysis. This profile indicates that the Brazilian production on depression can be better qualified, improving knowledge about this psychopathology.

[more] Atopic dermatitis is an illness, which increases its incidence each year, and demands more researches to minimize its social impact. Also is known the influence of psychological factors, like stress and anxiety, that works on the immunological system in an important way; these psychological factors points out atopic dermatitis as a psychosomatic illness. It was investigated three families in a qualitative framework, and using a semi-structured interview, perceptions and family dynamics with an atopic dermatitis’ child. They related that atopic dermatitis damaged psychological and social aspects, and it influences the family relationships and intensity/frequency of symptoms due the increasing stress. Still, atopic dermatitis is used in the family communications and relationship.

[more] Despite of the extent psychological literature, there are few papers concerning specifically about therapeutic process. This happens, in part, due the phenomena complexity and a misunderstood sight that put a lackbetween psychotherapy and research. This paper aimed to analyze LILACS, SIRPEP and INDEXPSI and eview complete abstracts about the Brazilian literature about marriage and family therapy therapeutic processes. Key-words were family, psychotherapy, research and therapeutic process, only in Portuguese. Fourteen complete abstracts were used for analysis, describing if does the article were theoretic or research issue, research fitness, methodology used and themes of the papers. Most articles referred to researches, and preferably theory was psychoanalysis. This issues shown a minimization of the gap between research and psychotherapy. There were difficulties concerning the Portuguese abstracts, because the data banks shown few information about the papers.

  The aggressiveness in the traffic has already become a social problem, with the absence of security that brings all of us that are part of the traffic. [more] The aggressiveness in the traffic has already become a social problem, with the absence of security that brings all of us that are part of the traffic. We know that it is present in the traffic through several behaviors performed by the drivers and that influences in the way of utilization of that public space which needs to be with education, respect, tolerance and no aggressiveness, for the liberty that we have with a vehicle isn’t always the correct form. It was investigated through a questionnaire applied to ninety-four vehicle drivers the frequency that they practice determined behaviors and their perceptions in regard to the causes of aggressiveness in the traffic. The drivers perceived that the main cause of aggressiveness in the traffic is nervousness and it was evidenced notorious difference of aggressiveness in the frequency of performed behaviors by men and women, being the aggressiveness more present in the male sex. Facing the obtained results it was verified how complex is the human behavior and numberless possibilities which it can be worked by the several segments of society involved with education and security in the traffic.

[more] Observation is an important method for data obtaining, used both in natural as social sciences. This work aimed, starting from literature about observation, discuss this technique. Are discussed its vantages and limitations, being classified since its structure, setting, observer actions and participants number, as well as analysis possibilities through quali and quantitative approaches. Finally, we discuss observation in clinical psychology, linking some works in this area with the technique described, especially in developmental psychology.
