The various state governments recruit thousands of teachers every year but they fail to perform for reasons well known. Inadequate infrastructure, too much of job security, non-accountability, excessive trade union activity are some of the reasons for the teachers in government schools failing to perform. As a result people completely lost trust in government run schools and prefer to send their wards to private schools in spite of the fact that it is not affordable.
