My current research is focused on the function of multiple post-translational modifications of histone proteins. We statistically assess data coming from diverse experimental platforms like mass spectrometry and ChIP-seq. The results are used to construct computer models of entire chromosomes, where we simulate the epigenetic landscape and its impact on gene regulation and cell differentiation.
Furthermore, we develop computational tools to identify general cross-talk of protein modifications.
