This study will reveal some new aspects that other surveys have not taken into account, such as major reasons for poor absorption of European funds for Romania, the distribution of political power in the European Union, the increasing power and involvement of the European Commission in the national politics of the Member States, the main areas of activity in Romania from the EU which could have major benefits, the refusal of France and Germanyto Romania's accession to the Schengen Area, "Gypsy problem" etc.

[more] Social Networks (as a part of Social Media)represents the online suport for social interaction, whichcustomizes the opportunity to share ideas, photos, videos, etc. within a community.SocialMedia, where we can also include the social network Facebook, accelerate the conversations between Internet users, unlike the traditional mass-media, which delivers content, but doesn'tallow readers, viewers, listeners to participate in the creation or development of the content. Also, these online social media have led to the reconfiguration of social relationships and society,as a whole, exponential contributing to the acceleration of globalization. The study's objective isto identify how the Romanians interact through Facebook and its implications in the process of socialization of Internet users from Romania. The research method used to achieve the objectivesof the study is an online survey on asample of 500Facebook users fromRomania, entitled “TheRomanians and Facebook”, which was published on the website www.tashy.ro.The research wasconducted from 7 to 21 November 2010.Themost important findings of the study are that thanksto Facebook, it is easier for the users to talk to people in the real world and more than 82% of therespondents have recommended their friends to create an account on Facebook. Most of therespondents have higher education completed or in progress, unlike other social networking sites,Facebook put more emphasis on users' personal information (studies, work, interests), givingvisitors a “book Business” ofthe people they have visited.Manyusers from Romania createdtheir account in 2010, which allows us toaffirm that social network Facebook is still under development in Romania, its implications in the social relations constituted a research topic in the future.

[more] The consumerism culture is a catalyst for the Economy, leading to new products and services and causing false needs among consumers. The economic crisis has been caused by the oversized consumption encouraged by the credit policy. The consumer credits and the mortgages initially led to increased activity in some strategic sectors. The global “boom” of excessive crediting was followed by the increase and stricter credit interest conditions for granting them. Thus, the economic crisis has changed the strong habits of most European peoples. They have become more sober in the shopping and focused on saving.
