    Alexander Hugh Thurburn PhD Scholarship

I have worked in a range of topics in molecular plant biology in Australia, Sweden, Denmark and Israel. In 2012 I moved to the Faculty of Agriculture and Environment at the University of Sydney. My current research interests are the properties and functions of plant serpins, plant genetic and environmental effects on peanut allergenicity, responses of rice and cotton to low oxygen, barley aleurone PCD, starch-protein-phenolic interactions in sorghum, and mustard seed glucosinylate extraction.
