Tetsutaro Ozawa earned a Ph.D. degree, studying molecular genetics of neurodegenerative disease at Brain Research Institute, Niigata University, Japan. From 2002 to 2003 he moved to the UCL Institute of Neurology, London, to investigate the pathogenesis of multiple system atrophy. He was with the National Hospital for Neurology & Neurosurgery and the Queen Square Brain Bank, London. Presently he continues research on the pathogenesis of neurodegenerative diseases at Niigata University.
