I choose to see the positive side of tourism. In order to milk the gains of tourism there are some pre-requisites viz- safety and security of the people including visa monitering, development of hotel, catering, transportation, maintenance of sites etc. that's the development of the tourism related infrastructure. Spending and investing on these heads there will not only be creating jobs but also long term assets for the economy. H-Olin analysis on external trade once said that no two nations have the same natural (also human) endowments so there is always a demand for free flow of imports or exports. Like wise in tourism, there is a great scope for development which can be linked with the economic growth and thus to eradicdate the poverty. In my country- India, I see it has a huge potential. We have 28 states all are blessed with hetrogenous culture. Many hill states like Himachal Pradesh, Uttrakhand and North-east sisters earn good revenue from tourism. It can be further increased with betterment of abovesteted infra requirements. On the other hands states like Goa have been though smaller in size but are hugly developed- thanks to their promotion to tourism. Tourism has now many facets- like medical tourism, adventure tourism, sports tourism, cultural & hertiage tourism etc. It encourages not only earning of forex but also influences the greater issues like business investment and opening of the new branches for MNCs, thus exploring the un-used man and material resources. Lastly,Tourism acts acts as a 'soft power' where the ideas and culture influnces the outsiders. Goodness and cultural diversity, political and people sustained models paves way for either imitate or improve for betterment. Though it will be unfair to claim that only development in tourism can eradicate the povertyFollowing

Tourism should be seen as a soft power. Today there are lot oftypes of - eco tourism, adventure tourism, medical tourism, to name a few apart from traditional historical/heritage tourism. We have to see why Paris is developed but Maasi mara is still a very back ward region. For that first of all clear policies related to infrastructure development, visa, stay etc are required to bve chlked out.Following

Today , out of 7 billion global population, 2/3rd live on less than a dollar. The concept of food security is a mirage to them. Population's geometric growth has dwarfed the agricultural arithmetic growth. Land under cultivation has increased at the cost of environment and yet the food self-sufficiency even through , HYV seeds, chemical fertilizers & mechanized ways have fallen short to the global demand. Food Riots in African nations are common. Zimbabwe's hyper inflation is frightening. Even 10-12% of agriculture inflation (ag flation) is creating unrest in India, the second fastest growing economy. Agricultural inflation is overall adversely affecting the whole economic growth/development of the nation, as seen recently in India. So, global food security is a matter of concern not only to one nation but to all over the globe. Are you aware of it's root cause. Yes, it's sheer gap between demand and supply. This gap is either due to stagnate agri. production or due to increased income levels. In the absence of new and better technologies the agriculture production in developing and emerging economies is resulting in diminishing returns. Technologies may take their own time but hunger will never wait for them. It requires rapid and quick solutions which definitely should be tested ones. Genetically modified crops in some parts of the world have helped in erasing the shortfall (though bt bringles still a debated issue). Why don't we opt for HYV of cattle, broilers and layers? Rat meat or for that matter any other animal meet should be encouraged, if hygienic. Yes, debates on biological harms are agreed and should be continued but regretting it merely on customs, traditions and ethics it's crime against the starving humanity.Following

But, despite of their ability to commerce, they lacked not only raw materials but also markets. Which they tried to capture on 3Gs-God,Glory-Gold. Now- circa 2500 B.C India and China both emerged the epi-centers of the growths encompassing not only in the sources of raw materials but also in the productions which they successfully traded with rest of the world! This was continued till 16th Century- that is for nearly 3500 years! Now once again the time is changing, Asian glories are regaining their chance to be global leaders once again. What if it is going to take couple of decades. After all, 500 years of the UK-US have no match with bright 3,500 years of Indian & Chinese success saga. The whole world is watching it & we will become testimony of it.Following

If we go for biotechnology, genetic engineering/ mutation multiplication in plants to produce GM crops, then there is always a possibility to go for GM animal husbandry, which not only would include meat, but also milk, poultry & similar products.Following
