Mindy Machanic

I am a classic interdisciplinary/multidisciplinary polymath - I haven't formal training in all those fields I listed, but do have some to a significant amount of reading and other learning in those areas (and others), as well as interest in learning more or doing something in those areas. I think outside of boxes, so I see the connections and links between fields, topics, outcomes, etc. At this point, I am semi-retired, and since I am too non-linear for a traditional academic position, and too independent and not corporate enough for a standard position in industry, I am looking for project work in almost any area, in many capacities.

Other Interests

Gardening, gardening, gardening - and seed-saving. Photography at a serious should-be-pro-but-haven't-gotten-around-to-it level. Watching movies. Renovating my antique house. Travel when I can afford it - preferably with one other person or a small group of adventurers, but alone when I just gotta go. Listening to music, singing when I can. Poker? Sitting mountaintops or beaches, watching. Playing with animals, wild & domestic.
