About

I worked as a family physician in Oxford starting practice in 1983. In 1992 following the completion of my PhD I helped develop a Masters programme in Evidence Based Health Care. I ran the UK Centre for Evidence-Based Medicine in Oxford and was head of family practice at McGill University before coming to UBC in 2010. I am currently involved in multiple research projects, but primarily about including genomics in primary care, and lifestyle interventions to prevent diabetes.
