I started my academic career in 1995 at the Dep. of Systems Engineering and Control at Universitat Politècnica de València, Spain. I conduct my research at the Institute ai2. I currently lead a multidisciplinary team on artificial pancreas research. Our main interests are modeling of type 1 diabetes, intra-patient variability and glucose prediction, therapy optimization, continuous glucose monitoring and control algorithms for an efficient and safe artificial pancreas.
