Jhoon Kim has worked on radiative transfer and satellite remote sensing of atmospheric composition including ozone and aerosol. As a P.I. of Geostationary Environment Monitoring Spectrometer (GEMS), he is leading an international science team to monitor air quality in Asia-Pacific region. He is a member of IO3C, CEOS Atmospheric Composition Constellation(ACC), Satellite WG of NDACC, served as a Co-chair of WG8, Commission VIII of ISPRS, Co-chair of NIER-NASA TGACM, and TEMPO Science team.
