Over the last years, JC Farges published many data demonstrating the capacity of odontoblasts challenged with bacterial components to initiate immune responses in the human dental pulp. Today he mostly conducts researches on the anti-inflammatory and antibacterial responses of odontoblasts upon activation of the TLR2/NF-kB signalling pathway. He is also developing original in vitro and in vivo models to characterize the immunoregulatory properties of human dental pulp stem/progenitor cells.
