My research aims to better understand the factors responsible for shaping the human skeleton, including the evolutionary pressures faced by our hominin ancestors as well as aspects of our individual lifestyles such as physical activity patterns and nutrition. I take a variety of methodological approaches to accomplish this goal, including morphological analyses of fossils, comparative morphological analyses of extant vertebrates, and experimental biomechanics using model organisms.
