Ian R. Bailey

Accelerator Physics, Elementary Particle Physics

I am currently a lecturer in accelerator physics at Lancaster University and the Cockcroft Institute of Accelerator Science and Technology in the UK. My research covers the design of intense sources of gamma rays and positrons, the investigation of electromagnetic phenomena in novel structures in the context of searches for hidden-sector photons, axions and other hypothetical particles, and the physics of polarised particle beams.
Enquiries from potential collaborators/ PhD students are welcome.
