My major interest is to identify and study tumor suppressor genes in nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) by the combination of mono-chromosome transfer, gene expression profiling, and genotyping techniques. The underlining mechanisms of tumor suppression, which include the anti-angiogenic, apoptosis-inducing, and growth inhibitory effects are currently investigated. Polymorphism analysis of some of our tumor suppressor genes and their associations with NPC risk are my other major research interest.
