Eric Hoffman is a professor of radiology, medicine and biomedical engineering at the University of Iowa. He is head of the Advanced Pulmonary Physiomic Imaging Lab (APPIL) in the Dept. of Radiol. and the director of the Iowa Comprehensive Lung Imaging Center (I-Clic) . Throughout his career he has used advanced imaging methodologies to study basic respiratory physiology and pathophysiology centered largely on mechanisms of ventilation and perfusion heterogeneity and regional lung mechanics.
