The major focus of our research is profiling host-pathogen interactions with high-throughput technologies. We study the acute and chronic Chlamydia trachomatis and Chlamydia pneumoniae infections in vitro and in vivo in mouse and human hosts. Our current research projects are related to the in vivo transcriptome and proteome profilings of acute and chronic chlamydia infections. We attempt to identify new antimicrobial mechanisms the host uses to eliminate chlamydia infection.
