Time to produce each product is small, there are many products and many production processes, including multiple alternatives. I used my own linear programming software in order to maximise the contribution. Some aspects of replenishment policies were covered but probably it is not what you would expect. If you wish, I can scan my paper about it (D. Kalpić, M. Baranović, V. Mornar: Case Study Based on a Multi-Period Multi-Criteria Production Planning Model, European Journal of Operational Research 87, (1995) pp 658-669, Elsevier Science B.V., Netherlands) and send it to your e-mail, if you provide me with the address! Conference Proceeding: The “selection, training, follow and evaluation framework” (STFEF) for manager's in business innovation transformation projects” the Human Factor
A. Trad, D. Kalpic[show abstract] [hide abstract]
ABSTRACT: One of the most risky factors in transforming a traditional Business Environment (BE) will be the Management of the Human Factor. Once the transformation ends, the control and evaluation of the human factor starts. This paper defines the future framework's factors that influences the success of the adaptation of the Human Factor to change. The proposed Select, Train, Follow and Evaluate Framework (STFEF) assists managers in managing the human factor. It also establishes the relationship between the transformation, the implementation of Business Process Technologies and the Human Factor.Information Technology Interfaces (ITI), Proceedings of the ITI 2011 33rd International Conference on; 07/2011 -

Conference Proceeding: A prototype for the short-term prediction of moving object's movement using Markov chains.
Ivana Nizetic, Kresimir Fertalj, Damir Kalpic[show abstract] [hide abstract]
ABSTRACT: Due to the advances in Global Positioning System (GPS) and wireless technology, which enabled collection of large amount of data about moving objects, research on moving objects experiences its expanded phase. In this paper we focus on short-term prediction of moving object's movement using Markov chain adapted to spatiotemporal data. We demonstrate our prototype for tracking and predicting object's future location and perceive some problems in real-time prediction.Proceedings of the ITI 2009 31st International Conference on Information Technology Interfaces, Cavtat/Dubrovnik, Croatia, June 22-25, 2009; 01/2009 -

Conference Proceeding: Computerisation, data privacy and scientific excellence; Where are we going?
D. Kalpic[show abstract] [hide abstract]
ABSTRACT: Computerisation of most human activities that handle data is widely in function nowadays. General fears of Big Brother syndrome are ubiquitous. The paper attempts to challenge this common wisdom by demonstrating on some examples how computerisation in connection with proclaimed data privacy politics actually hinders the useful information, some of which was even formerly available, without computerisation or in older information system versions before the current rigid data privacy legislation. Examples are taken primarily from some personal author's experience and from information systems aimed for academic community in Croatia, developed at the author's Department. Data privacy prevents ordinary members of the academic community or society from proper investigation that could challenge the adequacy of existing policies. At the same time, the persons who institutionally have granted access to the collected information and who are the most influential to conduct policies have hardly time to do os.Information Technology Interfaces, 2008.
