About

I am a sensory neurophysiologist interested in how fish sense, interact with and respond to their environment, linking environmental changes or challenges to whole animal physiology, behaviour and ecology. I am interested in the effects of low oxygen (hypoxia) on the cardio-respiratory responses of fish and how breathing is controlled by chemoreceptors. More recently, I have also started studying the effects of ocean acidification on olfaction and sound detection in marine fish.
